On October 16, 2019 I bought the ship in Norway, near Stavanger. The old owner and I wanted to take the ship over to Germany together, the last trip with his baby, and then Corona came and everything changed.

On July 15, 2020, Norway opened its borders again, making it possible to transfer the boat. We started with a 2-man crew on the first day of opening. Via Kristiansand by train to Stavanger, where we were warmly welcomed.

In June, the previous owner took the boat to the shipyard to thoroughly overhaul the lower hull.

I started the following day with my best friend Heiner († Dec. 15, 2022). We transferred the ship from Stavanger (NO), via Kristiansand (NO), on to Skagen (DK), with a stopover in Grenaa (DK), to the destination port of Kiel (DE).

Then there was another Corona break. In November 2022 I had to go to the hospital again to have surgery on my leg arteries. Since then it has become increasingly difficult for me to cope with the ship myself. That is the reason for the planned sale.

As long as the ship is not sold, I will continue to carry out work, which will increase the value again.
The ship was last in the shipyard in Laboe near Kiel in June 2023. There it got a completely new undercoat. The old layers were removed and a new primer was coated 3 times. This was followed by a triple coat of antifouling.

The shipyard foreman confirmed to me that the hull was in very good condition. Although we did three small woodwork jobs, this was due to minor damage, not to the wood. “New ships can no longer be built with such solid mahogany wood,” said the master.

Of course, a lot has to be done from the waterline onwards. Less technical, more woodwork and paint. The inside of the ship is passable, but here too it needs some restoration (paint).

The ship is ready to go and can be viewed and driven immediately without any preparation.

The ship is a commodity that is over 50 years old and is not in new condition. Electrics, machines and materials are getting old and need good care. Despite good maintenance, unknown errors and damage cannot currently be ruled out.

The sale takes place under exclusion of any liability for material defects.
Liability for damages due to injuries to health, body or life and grossly negligent and/or intentional violations of my duties as a seller remains unaffected.
